Made In America

So lately this song, "Made In America" by Toby Keith seems to be striking a cord. I can't think of a country star who has more pride to be an American than he does. This is not his only song about being proud to be an American. He also sang and wrote this song shortly after 9/11

Since 2002, Keith has made numerous trips to the Middle East to bring entertainment and encouragement to the men and women serving on or near the front lines. “My father was a soldier. He taught his kids to respect veterans,” said Keith. “It’s that respect and the thank-you that we have a military that’s in place and ready to defend our nation; our freedom.”

Once you watch the video below, even just hearing the words in the song get you thinking about what does it mean to be and American and to be proud of it?

Just a thought for the day. Maybe he is right and we all need to have more pride to be Americans.

This Is Country Music

This is Country Music is a blog for my social media class. I will through the course of the semester be sharing different facts, information, and music from the country genre. Maybe you are wondering where the title of this blog came from. The link below will explain it all. This is not the official music video, it is him performing it at the CMA's November 10, 2010
