Mamas Don`t Let Your Babies Grow up to be Cowboys
How many of you have heard this song before? It was a very popular song to cover in the 70s. It was written by Ed and Patsy Bruce in 1976 and was recorded by Ed that same year. Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson(The version here)covered the song on their 1978 duet album Waylon & Willie. This rendition peaked at No. 1 in March 1978, spending four weeks atop the country music charts. It also reached #42 on the Billboard Hot 100, and won the 1979 Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. (Source)
Jennings passes away in February of 2003. Willie Nelson is still recording. You might recognize him from his duo with Toby Keith "Beer For My Horses".

One Hit Wonder
I ran across this video on YouTube and it caught my attention so I did a little research. I found out this girls name is Erika Jo. She is an American country music recording artist who was declared winner of the 2005 season of the Nashville Star television program. She is both the youngest person to win the competition and the first female winner. She signed to Universal South Records in 2005. She released her self-titled debut album, which produced a chart single in "I Break Things", a #53 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Her only professional album, Erika Jo, was released by Universal South on June 14, 2005 and debuted at #5 on Billboard's country album chart, but the album, like its first single, enjoyed very limited success after its initial launch, selling just 118,829 copies through its first 11 months in release. She was later dropped from Universal South. More information on Erika Jo here
From the information above she seems to be a one hit wonder. What do you think?

Is she just another YouTube sensation? I want to know what you think.

Daddy Daughter Date, Just Fishin'
Ok girls I know you all at some point in time had a daddy daughter date with your dad. How many of you went fishing or hunting? I did! This song is really cute and made me wonder if that is what all dads thought through the frustration of taking his girls fishing or hunting. Especially when the girls weren't very good at it. I hope you take a trip down memory lane and remember your daddy daughter moments no matter what they were!
